Check current availability before booking
ActiveSG lists the Jurong East competition pool as temporarily closed from 5 April 2025, with the notice running to 31 December 2026. No reopening date has been confirmed. The rest of the complex normally opens Tuesday to Sunday, 8am to 9.30pm, and is closed on Mondays for maintenance except Monday public holidays.
For hours, admission prices and facilities, see the Jurong East Swimming Complex guide or the official ActiveSG page. Status checked 29 October 2026.
Before your first lesson
Confirm in writing which pool the lesson will use, the start time, the meeting point and the coach's name. While the competition pool is closed, lap-based lessons may move to another pool or venue. Lessons use calm water only, never the wave pool or other moving water.
What to bring
- Swimwear, goggles and a swim cap if the learner uses one.
- Towel, change of clothes and a padlock for the locker.
- Water bottle and any medication the coach should know about.
- Payment for pool admission, which is separate from lesson fees.
Meeting point and admission
The complex is at 21 Jurong East Street 31, Singapore 609517. Arrive 15 minutes early to pay admission at ActiveSG rates and change. Agree with the coach where to meet, as the complex has several pools.
Supervision of children
A parent or guardian stays responsible for a child before and after the lesson and during changing. The coach is responsible only during the agreed lesson time.
Swimming lessons at Jurong East Swimming Complex
Swimming lessons at Jurong East Swimming Complex may be suitable for children, adults, nervous beginners and swimmers working on technique, subject to coach and pool availability.
Choosing a lesson format
Private lessons give one learner the coach’s full attention and often suit anxious beginners or technique correction. A pair can work well for siblings, couples or friends of similar ability. Small groups may cost less per learner but provide less individual correction.
Compare the published swimming lesson fees before deciding. Pool admission is normally separate from coaching charges.
What to include when enquiring
- The learner’s age and current swimming ability.
- Any fear of water, support needs or specific goals.
- Your preferred days and realistic time range.
- Whether you prefer private, pair or small-group lessons.
- This complex and any nearby pools you can travel to.
Contact Swim2u about lesson availability. Availability must be confirmed before registration.
