Swimming lessons in Singapore: every option in one place

Kids, adults, ladies and beginners. 1-to-1 or group. Condo, private or public pool. Here's how the options compare and how to pick yours.

There is no single "best" swimming lesson. The right choice depends on four things: who is learning, how comfortable they are in water, whether they learn better alone or with others, and which pool is practical for your week. This page lays out every option Swim2u offers so you can narrow it down in a few minutes.

Where lessons happen

Public swimming complexes

Swim2u coaches teach at public pools in every region, including Punggol, Sengkang, Hougang, Serangoon, Toa Payoh, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, Woodlands, Yishun, Tampines, Bedok, Pasir Ris, Jurong East, Jurong West, Clementi and Choa Chu Kang. Public pools are usually the most affordable choice. Pool entry charges are set by the pool operator and paid separately. See the full Swim2u venue list.

Condominium pools

If you live in a condo, the coach comes to you. No travel, and siblings can share a slot. Condo rules on external coaches vary, so check with your management office first. More on condo swimming lessons.

Private pools and partner venues

Swim2u also teaches at landed-home pools and partner venues such as The Commerze @ Irving (Tai Seng), SUTD (Upper Changi) and lyf one-north.

How to choose in three questions

  1. Is the learner nervous or starting from zero? Start with 1-to-1 lessons or a very small group. Confidence comes first.
  2. Is there a sibling, friend or partner at the same level? Learning as a pair halves the cost per person and keeps attention high.
  3. Which pool can you reach every week? Consistency matters more than the venue. A pool you can reliably attend beats a better one you'll skip. Read how many lessons you'll need.

What swimming lessons cost

Swim2u sells lessons in blocks of four. Published rates range from $140 per child (group of three or more) to $360 for a 1-to-1 ladies block. The swimming lesson fees page lists every programme, with a plain explanation of what changes the price.

Frequently asked questions

What age can children start swimming lessons?

Swim2u teaches babies from infancy with a parent in the water, toddlers up to age 4, and children up to 12 in the kids programme. Learners above 12 join the adult programme.

Is it too late to learn swimming as an adult?

No. Adults learn differently from children, and a patient 1-to-1 or small-group setting helps. See adult swimming lessons.

Do you follow the SwimSafer syllabus?

Kids can work towards SwimSafer stages. See SwimSafer lessons.
